REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 2UZ-FE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

2. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 2UZ-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

3. REMOVE HOSE HEAT PROTECTOR


(a) Remove the bolt and hose heat protector.

4. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY


(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the transmission oil cooler, and separate the by-pass pipe from the automatic transmission.

HINT:

Use a container to catch any coolant which flows out of the water by-pass hoses.

5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/o Trailer Towing System)


(a) Disconnect the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil cooler with transmission oil cooler spacer.


(c) Remove the 3 bolts and separate the transmission oil cooler from the transmission oil cooler spacer.

(d) Remove the 2 O-rings.

6. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Trailer Towing System)


(a) Disconnect the 2 No. 2 transmission oil cooler hoses from the transmission oil thermostat.


(b) Disconnect the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil cooler with transmission oil thermostat.


(d) Remove the 3 bolts and separate the transmission oil cooler from the transmission oil thermostat.

(e) Remove the 2 O-rings.
